Our Three’s Class is a day filled with fun and hands-on learning. Our students in the Three’s Class learn colors, shapes, letters and numbers and are introduced to different genres of literature, science projects and sensory play. In this class, the students practice “school skills” such as cutting practice, gluing, raising hands, standing in line and cooperative learning. There is a thematic unit for each month that is incorporated into all of the learning activities to help keep children excited and engaged. Our small class sizes ensure a teacher/student ratio that gives each child individual attention and guidance.

We begin each day with Plug-In, a time of worship and prayer. Our early childhood classes are introduced to a wide range of Bible stories from the Old and New Testament. They also learn how to pray for friends and memorize Bible verses.

On a daily basis, our Three’s Class will have an enrichment time of either Art or Music Class, snack, recess, lunch and rest time.

In our Pre K Class, students learn uppercase and lowercase letters, phonological awareness, early reading skills, beginning math concepts, social studies related to their immediate environment, beginning science concepts and STEM activities (Science Technology Engineering and Math). All Pre K students are given an assessment at the beginning, middle and end of the year to help tailor their learning to help them grow in specific areas. There is a thematic unit for each month that is incorporated into all of the learning activities to help keep children excited and engaged. As a Texas private elementary we follow the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for all school subjects for the base of our curriculum plan. Each day we learn skills in Math, Reading and Phonics, Compositional Writing, Science, and Social Studies. Special classes are also a part of the rich extensions available to all elementary scholars; Art, Music, and STEM classes. UPPERROOM Academy has limited spots for Kindergarten - 6th Grade.
